Managing Director, TCW/Craton
Tom Soto is a managing director at TCW/Craton. He is one of the country's leading voices on the economics of climate change and prosperity tied to reducing greenhouse gases. His companies have included Cabrillo Fuels, where he was the largest minority producer of ethanol fuel in Southern California. Before joining TCW/Craton, Soto built his management consulting company, PS Enterprises, into a leading consultant working with government and Fortune 500 companies to ensure their compliance with environmental regulations. Soto was appointed by President Clinton to the State Department's Border Environmental Cooperation Commission. Poder 360 magazine named Soto one of the "Top 100 Latino Green Leaders" and Hispanic Business magazine designated him among the "100 Most Influential Latinos" of 2010. He serves on the board of Liquid Environmental Solutions, the California Science Center and the New America Alliance. Soto holds a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
