Winter Vinecki

Marathon Runner; Founder, Team Winter

Winter Vinecki, 15, is the founder of Team Winter. Winter lost her 40-year-old father to an aggressive form of prostate cancer in 2009. At 9 years of age, she formed her nonprofit, Team Winter, to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. To date, she has helped raise nearly $500,000 for awareness and research. Winter uses her athletic prowess to help spread her message. She recently set a world record as the youngest person to run a marathon on all seven continents to honor her dad and the 1 in 6 men affected by prostate cancer. She is the youngest person to run 26.2 miles on Antarctica, and her first marathon victory came on the Inca Trail. Winter is a two-time triathlon national champion. She is the reigning 2014 Junior National Champion in aerial skiing and placed fifth in the recent Junior Freestyle World Championships in Italy. Winter is a 2018 Winter Olympic hopeful. Thanks to her amazing athletic accomplishments and ability to defy age barriers, she is an inspirational speaker to audiences of all ages around the world.
