Flynn McGarry, 15, is a chef and founder of Eureka, a supper club he launched at age 12. McGarry began cooking at age 10 using cookbooks and the Internet as his guide. Soon, he was creating his own dishes for his monthly supper club in his home in Studio City, Calif., and by 13, he was serving a tasting menu of 14 courses to 20 guests. Besides running Eureka, McGarry has been learning from the very best. He began at Ray's at the Los Angeles County Museum with a two-day apprenticeship and then went on to stage with Chef Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park, Alinea and Next in Chicago, the Modernist Cuisine Food Lab in Seattle and most recently at Alma and Fifty Seven in Los Angeles. McGarry has been written about recently in the New York Times Magazine, as well as the New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post, Time for Kids, and the Daily Beast. He was one of the featured chefs (the youngest ever) at the White House Easter Egg Roll. His Dining With Flynn YouTube channel has over 100,000 views, and he is the subject of an upcoming documentary.
