Michael Lynton

CEO, Sony Entertainment, Inc.; Chairman and CEO, Sony Pictures Entertainment

Michael Lynton is CEO of Sony Entertainment, Inc., and chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment. At Sony Pictures, Lynton has focused on digital transformation, worldwide growth, content diversity and financial discipline, putting Sony on the cutting edge of an industry experiencing rapid change. He also manages the studio's global operations, which include motion picture, television and digital content production and distribution. Before Sony, Lynton worked for Time Warner and was CEO of AOL Europe, president of AOL International and president of Time Warner International. Previously, he was chairman and CEO of Pearson's Penguin Group, president of Disney Publishing and president of Disney's Hollywood Pictures. Lynton is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the boards of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and RAND. He is a member of the Harvard Board of Overseers and the Broadcasting Board of Governors. A graduate of Harvard College, he holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
