Daniel Arbess is a partner at Perella Weinberg Partners and chief investment officer of the PWP Xerion Funds. Xerion makes event-driven and special-situation corporate investments across the capital structure within a macro framework. Arbess has been involved in global themes and event-driven opportunities since beginning his professional career at the White & Case law firm in 1987. As the youngest partner in the company's history, and eventually head of its global privatization group, he advised emerging-market governments on economic transition, industrial reorganization and privatization. Arbess became an investment principal in 1995. He launched Xerion Capital Partners with the backing of Paloma Partners in 2003, merging it into Perella Weinberg Partners in 2007. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Atlantic Council and advises the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation. Arbess received a bachelor of laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and a master of laws from Harvard Law School.
