Daphne Koller
Co-Founder, Coursera Inc.

Daphne Koller is a co-founder of Coursera Inc., a social entrepreneurship company that works with top universities to make the best in education freely accessible online to everyone. A professor of computer science at Stanford University, Koller researches the field of machine learning. She is an award-winning teacher who pioneered many ideas that underlie the Coursera user experience. She has received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and the ACM/Infosys award. Koller is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and holds bachelor and master of science degrees from Hebrew University of Jerusalem as well as a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
