Speaker's Biography

James Litinsky

Founder and Managing Member, JHL Capital Group LLC

James Litinsky is founder and managing member of JHL Capital Group LLC. Prior to JHL, Litinsky was a member of the Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund at Fortress Investment Group. At Fortress, he was responsible for evaluating investment opportunities at all levels of capital structure, including loans, distressed debt, equities and derivatives. Before that, Litinsky was director of finance at Omnicom Group. Prior to Omnicom, he worked in corporate finance at Allen & Co., where he specialized in M&A and public and private equity investments. Litinsky is the co-author of "Omnicom's No-No, Parts A and B," convertible bond case studies published by the Kellogg School of Management. He is a member of the Illinois bar. Litinsky received a B.A. in economics from Yale University and a J.D./M.B.A. from the Northwestern University School of Law and the Kellogg School.
