Josiah Citrin

Josiah Citrin, a two-star Michelin chef, is the owner of the highly acclaimed Melisse Restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., and co-owner of Lemon Moon Cafe in West Los Angeles. Prior to these two restaurants, he was the owner of JiRaffe in Santa Monica, a California French bistro that he opened in 1996. Prior to Jiraffe, he worked at some of Los Angeles' finest restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck's celebrated Chinois on Main and Granita as well as Patina, Pinot Bistro, Capri in Venice and Jackson's in West Hollywood. He participates in many cooking and charitable events each year, including the Wolfgang Puck Cancer Society Event, Planned Parenthood, Special Olympics, Cystic Fibrosis and Cure Autism Now. In addition to Michelin, Citrin's other honors include Top Food in Los Angeles (first in 2006, 2008, 2009), American-French Restaurant for Food in Los Angeles by Zagat Guide (first in 2003-2009), Four Stars by Mobil Travel Guide (2001-2009) and Wine Spectator Best Award of Excellence (2001-2008). His cookbook, "In Pursuit of Excellence," was released in 2011.
