Visual Effects Supervisor, Commercial Director and Software Designer
Scott Squires is an accomplished visual effects supervisor, commercial director and software designer. A 30-year veteran of visual effects, he has worked on numerous high-profile films, including "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "Dragonheart," "The Mask" and "Star Wars: Episode 1-The Phantom Menace"; he received Academy Award nominations for the latter three films. Squires has also been recognized by the Academy with a Scientific and Engineering Award. Key facility roles for Squires included co-founding Dream Quest Images, where he served as president and VFX supervisor for six years. He followed this success with a 20-year term at Industrial Light & Magic, serving as chief technical officer, VFX supervisor and commercial director. Squires recently completed "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" as a consultant to Legend 3D for this complex conversion.
