CEO, Norwegian Cruise Line
Kevin Sheehan is CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. Since taking the helm in 2008, he has improved on-board service and amenities across the fleet; expanded the line's European presence; repositioned two of the line's Hawaii-based ships to create a profitable business model; revitalized top management; and helped Norwegian post a sharp turnaround in profitability in a tough economic climate. In the course of his career, Sheehan helped to found Spanish-language television network Telemundo; took several companies public, including rental car giant Avis; aided in the launch of the Sega Channel, the first interactive game platform over cable; taught at Adelphi University in New York; and consulted for a variety of private equity firms, including Apollo Management. Before joining Norwegian, Sheehan was chairman and CEO of Cendant Corp.'s Vehicle Services Division, where he was responsible for Avis Rent A Car, Budget Rent A Car, Budget Trucks, PHH Vehicle Management, First Fleet and Wright Express.
