Treasurer, State of Maryland
Nancy Kopp is the State Treasurer of Maryland. In addition to managing the Office of State Treasurer, she is the state's chief representative in dealing with financial rating agencies and investment banking firms. She also sits on the Board of Public Works with the governor and the comptroller of the state, and chairs the boards of trustees of the State Retirement and Pension Systems, the Capital Debt Affordability Committee, the Commission on State Debt and the College Savings Plans of Maryland. She is also a member of the Maryland Supplemental Retirement Board. Kopp previously served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for 27 years. She holds a bachelor's degree from Wellesley College and a master's degree in government from the University of Chicago; she has also received four honorary doctorates.
