Anne Sweeney is Co-Chair of Disney Media Networks and President of Disney/ABC Television Group. She manages the ABC Television Network, Disney Channels Worldwide, cable networks ABC Family and SOAPnet, publishing imprint Hyperion and Disney's equity interest in A&E Television Networks. Since joining Disney in 1996, she has been president of ABC Cable Networks Group, Disney Channels Worldwide and the Disney Channel as well as executive vice president of Disney/ABC Cable Networks. Previously, she was chairman and CEO of FX Networks Inc. and held various positions at Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite. Sweeney serves on many boards, including those of the American Film Institute and the Special Olympics. Named the "Most Powerful Woman in Entertainment" by The Hollywood Reporter and one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" by Fortune, she received the Broadcasters Foundation of America's 2008 Golden Mike Award and has been inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.
