Robert Litan is Vice President of Research and Policy at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He has authored or co-authored numerous books and articles in journals, magazines and newspapers on entrepreneurial approaches to boosting economic growth, government policies affecting financial institutions, regulatory and legal issues, international trade, and the economy in general. His latest book is Good Capitalism, Bad Capitalism, and the Economics of Growth and Prosperity (Yale University Press, 2007). He previously served as an associate director of the Office of Management and Budget and deputy assistant attorney general in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. Litan received a bachelor's degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from Yale Law School and both an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University.
