Deputy Director, W.K. Kellogg Foundation
Anthony Berkley is a deputy director at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which supports families and communities as they strive to propel vulnerable children to achieve success as individuals and as contributors to the larger community. Berkley is responsible for the Education and Learning, and Mississippi teams. He provides overall coordination of their efforts; is responsible for grant-making administration; and assists the vice president in providing day-to-day management and oversight. Berkley is an anthropologist with 15 years′ domestic and international experience in program design, strategic planning and education research. He previously was a program director in the foundation′s youth and education division. He has also held faculty positions at the University of Chicago and the University of Michigan, and is the author of numerous publications in the fields of knowledge management, education and anthropology. Berkley holds a bachelor′s degree, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in anthropology, from the University of Chicago.
