Co-Chairman and Co-Head of the Financial Restructuring Group, Houlihan Lokey
Irwin Gold is Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the international investment bank Houlihan Lokey, where he is also a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Financial Restructuring Group, which he co-founded in 1988. He has led many of the group's largest and most complex financial restructuring engagements, both in bankruptcy and out of court. He is the author of Valuation of the Restructured Enterprise and Its Effect on Negotiating Leverage. Gold has also served on the boards of numerous public companies and is a member of the International Insolvency Institute. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, he was a principal of the Seneca Group and vice president and director of corporate finance for Wood Bros. Homes, and he was associated with the corporate department of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. Gold holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from Duke University.
