Executive Managing Director, BMO Capital Markets
James Moglia is Executive Managing Director of BMO Capital Markets and heads its U.S. Debt Capital Markets and Leverage Finance Groups. He leads a team focused on high yield and investment grade bonds, syndicated loans, mezzanine securities and private equity. Moglia has completed approximately 600 financing transactions involving over $250 billion during his career. Prior to joining BMO in 2001, he was a Managing Director at CIBC World Markets; head of PaineWebber's Leveraged Transactions Group; and managing director and co-head of Kidder Peabody's High Yield Capital Markets Group, head of the LBO Group, and a senior member of its Restructuring Department. He began his career in high yield and buyout transactions at Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he was a senior vice president in the High Yield Structuring and Special Situations Group. Moglia has an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A in economics from Columbia University.
