Ginger Lew
Senior Advisor, White House National Economic Council

Ginger Lew is Senior Advisor to the White House National Economic Council, providing economic policy advice on matters that affect small businesses. In addition, she co-chairs the White House Interagency Group on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Interagency Taskforce on Regional Innovation Clusters. Prior to joining the Obama administration, Lew was the managing partner of a communications venture capital fund and a venture advisor to an early-stage venture fund. Under the Clinton administration, Lew was deputy administrator and chief operating officer of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Previously, she was general counsel at the Department of Commerce. For the past 10 years, she was chairman and board member of an investment fund based in Europe, and co-chair and a member of the listing council of a major stock exchange. Lew received a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a law degree from UC Berkeley.
