Attorney at Law, Yeshaya Horowitz Association
Yair Green is an Attorney at Law with the Yeshaya Horowitz Association in Israel, which he co-founded 20 years ago. Since then, Green has guided the organization's activities and has contributed significant sums for scientific and medical research throughout Israel. In 1995, he established the Green Foundation for Enhancement of Higher Education and Studies, which offers scholarships to eligible students in Israel. Green is actively involved in many Israeli cultural and academic institutions. He is a member of the Israeli government's Council for Higher Education and sits on the board of governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the Weizmann Institute of Science and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since 2006, he has been chairman of the board of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Green received an honorary doctorate by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and in 2008, he will be awarded an honorary doctorate by Bar-Ilan University.
