Jonathan Leo
Senior Environmental Attorney, Science Applications International Corp.

Jonathan Leo is a Senior Environmental Attorney with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) in Pasadena, Calif. Since 1999, he has managed SAIC's Superfund enforcement-support investigation and consulting projects under federal EPA contracts at multi-party contaminated groundwater sites. Leo was an environmental crimes prosecutor and state law environmental lobbyist with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office from 1979 to 1984, after which he practiced environmental law with the San Francisco office of Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe, representing industrial and commercial businesses, financial institutions, municipalities and special districts in civil and administrative proceedings involving waste management, water quality, air quality and general chemical usage and handling regulations. Leo lived in Israel from 2002 to 2003, and lectured at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, on whose board of trustees he has served since 2004. He keynoted a 2003 Jerusalem symposium on "Religion and the Environment," organized by the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies and the Interreligious Coordinating Council for Israel.
