Advancing the Science of Patient Input: A New Video from FasterCures
For most of history, patients have been the passive recipients of medical care, with little or no role in medical research. But that’s all changing. Over the past century, roles for patients have expanded dramatically, and today, opportunities to serve as active partners in defining and prioritizing research strategy abound.
FasterCures has always been laser-focused on integrating patient needs and perspectives into the full spectrum of medical decision-making. Check out our new video on the history of patient engagement – from the formation of the March of Dimes in the 1930s, to the HIV/AIDS movement in the 1980s, to the 21st Century Cures act currently in the U.S. House of Representatives – and the emerging science of patient input.
We’d like to promote this video far and wide to remind all of us in medical research of our collective progress. Please share this video with your networks!
