Depression Does Not Discriminate

More than 16 million Americans live with depression each year, and nearly six million Americans live with bipolar disorder, according to the National Institutes of Health. And these conditions don’t discriminate hitting young and old, wealthy and poor alike.

The Center for Strategic Philanthropy of the Milken Institute has been working with 23andMe and Lundbeck on a first-of-its-kind study on Major Depressive and Bipolar Disorders.  This study is clearly filling an important need because it recently recruited 25,000 people in record time.
