Teresa Whang is an associate director of events at the Milken Institute and primarily serves as speaker liaison for conferences, summits and other major events, including the 700-plus panelists at Global Conference. In this capacity, she oversees speaker-related logistical preparation and operations before, during and after each event, ensuring that speakers are well prepared and oriented in addition to coordinating the production schedule for each panel. Whang came to the Institute in 2011 as a database analyst and brings her background in database management, event technology and development support to her current position.
Prior to joining the Institute, Whang was a coordinator for advancement services at Mount St. Mary’s University, where she managed and audited all donor gifts, in addition to maintaining the CRM software and providing all-around support for alumni relations, fundraising and the President’s Office.
In addition to events, Whang has a deep interest in employee engagement, cultivating human capital, and team building. She holds a B.S. in physiological sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles. She works at the Institute's Santa Monica office.
