Kamyab Hashemi-Nejad is director of finance at the Milken Institute, where he established and has been managing the finance department since 2009. He is responsible for all internal and external financial reporting for domestic and international entities, as well as preparation of tax returns, budgeting and risk management.
Prior to joining the Institute, Hashemi-Nejad worked in the financial services and investment management sectors, most notably from 1990 to 2006 at Dimensional Fund Advisors where, as vice president and controller, he was in charge of the finance department. Hashemi-Nejad is a certified public accountant and started his career at Arthur Young in London.
Hashemi-Nejad holds a M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in political science and economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
