Charles Lam joined the Institute in June 2017 and is an associate director for the Institute’s events technology team, as well as a business analyst. His primary role is supporting the transformation of the Institute’s data and marketing architecture. He is also responsible for performing analyses and documenting functional requirements to guide the Institute’s technology with best practices and a structured approach.
Prior to joining the Institute, Lam served as senior business analyst for UBM Americas where he managed the scaling of the company’s data warehouse and business intelligence architecture. Prior to that, he spent nearly five years in a data engineering and project management role.
Lam holds a bachelor of science degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a PMI certified project management professional and spends his spare time volunteering as a board and leadership team member at two Bay Area nonprofits. Lam works in the Institute’s Santa Monica office.
