Ryan Shadrick Wilson
Ryan Shadrick Wilson is a senior advisor to the Milken Institute, where she works with the team to elevate sustainable solutions to health crises around the globe. Formerly, she was the chief strategy officer and general counsel of Michelle Obama’s Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), where she worked with corporate executives, health experts, government officials, and PHA's leadership to improve health in all communities and tackle childhood obesity. Wilson and her team garnered commitments from more than 200 private-sector partners across a range of industries, including Mercedes-Benz USA, Walmart, Nike, Reebok, and Subway. Wilson helped curate and grow a portfolio of influencers—including top CEOs, celebrities, and advocates—who are committed to a healthier future. Additionally, Wilson was an architect of the innovative FNV campaign, which engaged over 85 celebrities in the promotion of fruits and vegetables.
Prior to joining PHA, Wilson counseled large food and agriculture companies and their trade associations on a range of issues at the international law firm Hogan Lovells. While at the firm, she also maintained a robust pro bono practice, handling civil rights, political asylum, and death penalty cases.
Wilson now serves as on the board and as an advisor to several innovative companies and change makers in the food, fitness, and wellness space.
Wilson graduated with honors from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. But, she claims her greatest achievement is keeping up with her two children.
