Aarushi (Ash) Das is an associate with the Institute’s Center for Financial Markets (CFM). In this capacity, Das assists in expanding the scale and sustainability of the IFC-MI Capital Markets Program. She works closely with the whole of the IFC-MI Capital Markets Program team to onboard new classes of IFC-MI Fellows, coordinate the IFC-MI Speaker Series, target and strengthen relationships with sponsors and internship providers, and build out the IFC-MI Alumni Network. Das also supports other CFM projects and programming.
Das joined the Institute following a fellowship at the U.S. Department of the Treasury's International Banking and Securities Markets office. Prior to this fellowship, she interned at Booz Allen Hamilton supporting its ‘Power Africa’ portfolio. She has also worked abroad in Ghana, Brazil, and Ecuador.
Das is currently pursuing a master’s in finance at Georgetown, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in international political economy from Georgetown. In addition, she spent her junior year abroad studying philosophy, politics, and economics at Oxford University. She works at the Institute’s Washington, D.C. office.
