Cathy Crear serves as executive assistant to the managing director of research and supports senior staff in the research department. She joined the Milken Institute in 2013. Crear has a wealth of experience as an executive assistant who is able to anticipate and fulfill the support needs of executives at the highest level of corporate management.
Throughout her career, she has handled numerous administrative, marketing and special event assignments and has handled various personnel matters. She has successfully produced and managed events including Occidental Petroleum Corp’s annual stockholder meeting, honorary dinners for corporate and political dignitaries and a ball for the Duke and Duchess of York, and she worked for the vice president, village coordinator for the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee.
Crear has helped raise millions of dollars for education and various charity outreach programs on the west side of Los Angeles. In addition, she helped to publish a coffee-table book “In the Between,” whose revenues were used entirely to bring education and training to women and children in need in Tanzania.
