Priscilla Hamilton is a research analyst at the Milken Institute. She is interested in leveraging the power of spatial analysis to inform public-policy decision-making and its potential to provide a framework for efficient financial resource allocation in both the public and nonprofit sector. Recent projects include determining the spatial patterns for hospital readmissions in San Diego and analyzing antipoverty nonprofit location in relation to poverty "hot spots" in Los Angeles. In the past, Hamilton has worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and The Carter Center, where she conducted spatial analysis on a project assessing the broadcast range of the media in relation to electoral and demographic data in 12 Latin American countries. She received her bachelor's degree in international affairs and modern language from Georgia Tech and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Southern California.
