Selby started Thiel Capital with Peter in 2002 and helps run the family office currently.
Selby is an independent film producer since 2007: his two most recent films (2023) are Memory - Jessica Chastain lead, Venice Volpi winner for Peter Sarsgaard, and His Three Daughters - Natasha Lyonne lead, Toronto Film Festival 2023 release, Netflix acquisition.
Selby is an active technology investor and advisor with companies like SpaceX, Palantir, Affirm and many others.
Selby has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hamilton College and currently serves as a Charter Trustee.
Selby’s philanthropic affiliations include: Ambassador to the Navy SEALs Foundation, member of the Advisory Council to the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, member of the Board of Directors at the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (AZSTA), member of the Board of Directors at the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), member of the Board of Directors at the Grand Teton Music Festival in addition to many other non-profit pursuits.
