Suzanne Kianpour is co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Civil Films, a news and culture video magazine that makes the content and tools to help people be better informed, more compassionate voters. She's the host of 'News with Suz,' an audience driven social media show providing context and nuance behind the headlines. Suzanne is also the founder and CEO of Helmet to Heels™ - a news, travel, fashion digital brand with a focus on elevating the voices of extraordinary women around the world, inspired by her BBC career shuttling Washington and war-zones, and the award winning BBC series she created and hosted, Women Building Peace. She is shortlisted as Presenter of the Year by the Association of International Broadcasters in London for her work on this series and her BBC documentary on the Iran vs Israel covert war, 'Out of the Shadows.' Suzanne is an Emmy nominated political and foreign affairs journalist and the former Capitol Hill Correspondent for BBC’s 'The Context.’ She spent over a decade with the BBC based in Washington, London, Beirut, and Los Angeles - traveling the world with the US Secretary of State during the Iran nuclear negotiations and Hillary Clinton during the historic 2016 election.
