Heike Schmitz is partner at Herbert Smith Freehills and works with funds, asset managers and investors on investments, investment processes, regulatory questions and the integration of sustainability aspects, with a focus on impact investing and private assets. She has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, as inhouse counsel with Generali Group and as external advisor in various law firms. Heike supports the work of the Insurance Development Forum as part of her pro bono practice and acts as co-chair of the Infrastructure Task Force aiming to facilitate building resilient infrastructure in emerging and developing markets.
